Hadith 25377
٢٥٣٧٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا يزيد بن هارون قال: حدثنا سليمان (التيمي) (١) عن طاوس أن رجلا أتى ابن عمر فقال: نهى رسول اللَّه ﷺ عن نبيذ الجر؛ فقال ابن عمر: نعم، فقال طاوس: واللَّه إني سمعته منه (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Tawoos that a man came to Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) and asked him: Did the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) prohibit the nabidh (fermented drink) of a pitcher? Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) replied: Yes. Hazrat Tawoos says: By Allah! I myself heard this from Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both).
