Hadith 25375
٢٥٣٧٥ - (حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا) (١) عبد اللَّه بن إدريس عن شعبة عن ثابت قال: قلت لابن عمر: نُهي عن نبيذ الجر؛ فقال: زعموا (ذاك) (٢)، [قلت عن رسول اللَّه ﷺ؟ قال: زعموا ذاك، قلت: أنت سمعته؟ قال: زعموا ذاك، قال] (٣): وصرفه اللَّه عني (٤).
It is narrated from Hazrat Thabit. He says: I asked Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them), "Is the use of Nabidh (fermented drink) made in a pitcher prohibited?" He replied, "That is what people think." I asked, "Is this ruling established from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)?" He replied, "That is what people think." I asked, "Did you hear this ruling from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?" He replied, "That is what people think." And he said, "Allah the Exalted has turned this away from me."
