Hadith 25296
٢٥٢٩٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ملازم بن عمرو عن سراج بن عقبة عن عمته خالدة بنت طلق قالت: حدثني أبي، قال: كنا جلوسا عند نبي اللَّه ﷺ (١) (فجاء) (٢) صحار عبد القيس، فقال: يا رسول اللَّه ما ترى في شراب نصنعه، من ثمارنا (قال) (٣): فأعرض عنه النبي ﷺ حتى مسألة ثلاث مرات، ثم قام بنا النبي ﷺ (٤) (فصلى) (٥)، فلما قضى الصلاة، قال: "من السائل عن المسكر؟ يا ⦗٢٢٢⦘ (سائلًا) (٦) عن المسكر لا تشربه ولا تسقه أحدا من المسلمين، فوالذي نفس محمد بيده ما شربه قط رجل ابتغاء لذة سكره (فيسقيه) (٧) اللَّه خمرا يوم القيامة (٨).
It is narrated from Hazrat Khalidah bint Taliq, she says that my father told me that we were sitting with the Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. Then the people of Sahar Abdul Qais came and they asked, "O Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him! What is your opinion about the drink which we prepare from our fruits?" The narrator says: Upon hearing this, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, turned his blessed face away from them. This continued until he asked the same question three times. Then the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, stood up with us and led us in prayer. When he, peace and blessings be upon him, finished the prayer, he said: "Who is the one asking about the intoxicating drink? O questioner about the intoxicating thing! Do not drink this drink yourself, nor give it to any Muslim to drink. By the One in Whose hand is the life of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), there is no person who ever drank wine seeking the pleasure of intoxication, except that on the Day of Resurrection, Allah the Exalted will make him drink the wine (of Hell)."
