Hadith 25075
٢٥٠٧٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن أبي سفيان عن جابر قال: نهى رسول اللَّه ﷺ عن الرقى، وكان عند (آل) (١) عمرو بن حزم رقية يرقون بها من العقرب، (قال) (٢): فأتوا النبي ﵇ (٣) فعرضوها عليه، وقالوا: إنك نهيت عن (الرقى) (٤)، فقال: "من استطاع منكم أن ينفع أخاه فليفعل" (٥).
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir who says that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade amulets, and the family of Amr bin Hazm had an amulet which they used for scorpion stings. The narrator says, so these people presented themselves before the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and presented this amulet before him and said, "You have forbidden amulets." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever among you can benefit his brother, he should benefit him."
