Hadith 25037
٢٥٠٣٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا خلف بن خليفة عن أبي هاشم عن نافع قال: كانت لابن عمر (بختية) (١)، وأنها مرضت، فُوصف لي أن (نداويها) (٢) بالخمر، فداويتها ثم قلت لابن عمر: إنهم وصفوا لي أن أداويها بالخمر، قال: ففعلت؟ قلت لا، -وقد كنت فعلت- قال: أما إنك لو فعلت (عاقبتك) (٣) (٤).
It is narrated from Hazrat Nafi. He says that Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) had a Bactrian camel. It became ill, and someone told me to treat it with alcohol. So I treated it. Then I told Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them), "People have told me to treat it with alcohol!" Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) asked, "Then what did you do?" I said, "No," although I had already treated it. Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) said, "If you had done this, I would have punished you."
