Hadith 24962
٢٤٩٦٢ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا هاشم بن القاسم قال: حدثنا شبيب بن (شيبة) (١) قال: حدثنا عطاء بن أبي رباح عن أبي سعيد الخدري ﵁ عن النبي ﷺ (٢) قال: "إن اللَّه لم ينزل داء، (أو) (٣) لم يخلق داء، إلا وقد أنزل أو (٤) خلق له (دواء) (٥) علمه من علمه (و) (٦) جهله من جهله، إلا السام" قالوا: يا رسول اللَّه وما السام؟ قال: "الموت" (٧).
Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Surely Allah Almighty has not sent down any disease or created any disease except that He has also sent down or created its cure. Whoever comes to know of it, knows it, and whoever remains ignorant of it, remains ignorant—except for sam. The companions asked, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), what is sam?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "Death."
