Hadith 23834
٢٣٨٣٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا جرير عن ليث عن أبي بكر بن حفص يرفعه قال: "من أحيا أرضا على (دعوة) (١) من المصر فله رقبتها إلى ما يصيب فيها من الأجر" (٢).
It is narrated in a marfu’ form from Hazrat Abu Bakr bin Hafs (may Allah have mercy on him) that whoever cultivates barren land at the request of the townspeople, the land will belong to him. And moreover, he will also receive a reward for it.
