Hadith 2367
٢٣٦٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا وكيع عن عبيد اللَّه بن الوليد عن (عبد اللَّه) (١) ابن عبيد بن عمير عن عائشة قالت: ما أرى (هذه الآية) (٢) (نزلت (لا) (٣) في المؤذنين: ﴿وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ قَوْلًا مِمَّنْ دَعَا إِلَى اللَّهِ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا وَقَالَ إِنَّنِي مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ﴾ [فصلت: ٣٣] (٤).
Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says that in my opinion, this verse was revealed about the mu’adhdhins: Who can speak better than one who calls people to Allah, does good deeds, and says, "I am among the Muslims."
