Hadith 23199
٢٣١٩٩ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا سهل بن يوسف عن حميد عن أنس قال: نهى النبي ﷺ (١) عن بيع الثمرة حتى يبدو صلاحها، قيل لأنس: وما يبدو صلاحها؟ قال: تحمر أو تصفر (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the sale of fruits before their ripeness. Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked, "What is meant by ripeness?" He (may Allah be pleased with him) replied, "When the fruit turns red or yellow."
