Hadith 23110
٢٣١١٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا يحيى بن آدم عن زهير عن مغيرة عن إبراهيم والشعبي في العبد يكون بين الرجلين فيعتق أحدهما نصيبه، قالا: هو عتيق من مال الذي أعتقه، ويضمن لصاحبه (بقيمة) (١) عدل يوم أعتقه.
Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) and Hazrat Sha’bi (may Allah have mercy on him) say that if a slave is owned between two men and one of them frees his share, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: The portion freed will be considered free from the wealth of the one who freed it, and at the time of freeing, he will be liable to his partner for the value of the slave.
