Hadith 23106
٢٣١٠٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن علية عن يونس عن الحسن أنه كان يقول: إذا أعتق الرجل نصيبًا من مملوك له في شرك فإنه يضمن ما (بقي) (١) منه إن كان موسرًا، وإن كان معسرًا استسعي العبد.
Hazrat Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) says that if a person frees his share in a slave, then he has a share in it, so he will be responsible for the remaining share as well if he is wealthy, and if he is not wealthy, then the slave himself will strive for the remaining price.
