Hadith 23094
٢٣٠٩٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا علي بن مسهر عن سعيد بن أبي عروبة عن قتادة عن النضر بن أنس عن بشير بن نهيك عن أبي هريرة قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "من أعتق شقصا له في مملوك، أو نصيبًا فعليه خلاصه (من) (١) ماله إن كان له مال، (وإن) (٢) لم يكن له مال استسعي العبد في قيمته غير مشقوق عليه" (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever frees his share in a slave, it is obligatory upon him that if he has wealth, he should give money to his partner and free the slave completely. If he does not have wealth, then the slave will work in exchange for that price, without being subjected to hardship.
