Hadith 2309
٢٣٠٩ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن إبراهيم عن الأسود وعلقمة قال: أتينا عبد اللَّه في داره، فقال: أصلى هؤلاء خلفكم؟ قلنا: لا، قال: فقوموا فصلوا (١)، فلم يأمر باذان ولا إقامة (٢).
Hazrat Aswad and Hazrat Alqama narrate that we visited Hazrat Abdullah at his home. He asked, "Have those who are behind you performed the prayer?" We replied, "No." He said, "Get up and perform the prayer." Hazrat Abdullah did not instruct for the call to prayer (adhan) or the commencement (iqamah) to be given.
