Hadith 23027
٢٣٠٢٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا (١) أبو خالد الأحمر عن يحيى بن سعيد عن معاوية بن عبد اللَّه بن (بدر) (٢) عن أبيه قال: وجدت ثمانين دينارًا في عهد عمر بن الخطاب فأتيت بها عمر فقال: عرفها سنة، قلت: فإن لم تعرف؟ قال: فاستمتع بها (٣).
Hazrat Badr narrates that during the caliphate of Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), I found eighty dinars. I brought them to Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). He said, "Announce it for one year." I asked, "What if the owner is still not found?" He (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Then benefit from it."
