Hadith 23022
٢٣٠٢٢ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع قال: حدثنا هشام بن سعد عن عمرو ابن شعيب عن أبيه عن جده أن رجلًا سأل النبي ﷺ عن ضالة المغنم فقال: "لك أو لأخيك أو للذئب"، وساله عن ضالة الإبل فقال: "ما تريد (إليها؟) (١) معها (سقاؤها وحذاؤها) (٢)، تأكل المرعى وترد الماء" (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Amr bin Shu'aib (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about a lost goat. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is either for you, or for your brother, or for the wolf." He then inquired about a lost camel. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What do you want from it? It has its water-skin and its sandals with it. It will eat from the pasture and go to the water."
