Hadith 23007
٢٣٠٠٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع قال: حدثنا سفيان عن ربيعة بن أبي عبد الرحمن عن يزيد مولى المنبعث عن زيد بن خالد الجهني قال: (سئل رسول) (١) اللَّه ﷺ عن اللقطة فقال: (عرفها سنة، فإن جاء صاحبها وإلا فاستنفقها) (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Zaid bin Khalid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about lost property. He (peace be upon him) said: Announce it for one year; if the owner comes, fine, otherwise use it yourself.
