Hadith 22979
٢٢٩٧٩ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن عيينة عن عمرو عن طاوس عن ابن عباس، قال: بلغ عمر بن الخطاب أن فلانًا يبيع الخمر فقال: ما له قاتله اللَّه، ألم يعلم أن رسول اللَّه ﷺ قال: "لعن اللَّه اليهود حرمت (عليهم) (١) الشحوم (فحملوها) (٢) فباعوها وأكلوا أثمانها" (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) received news that a certain person sells wine. He (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "What has happened to him? May Allah destroy him. Does he not know that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'May Allah's curse be upon the Jews; fat was made unlawful for them, so they melted it and began to sell it and consumed its price.'"
