Hadith 22876
٢٢٨٧٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا محمد بن أبي عدي عن ابن عون عن محمد في الذي يعتق العبد وله مال، قال: أحب أن يبين له، إن أراد أن يمسكه ⦗٩٧⦘ (أمسكه) (١) وإن (أراد) (٢) أن يجعله معه جعله (٣).
Muhammad, may Allah have mercy on him, says regarding the person who frees such a slave who also possesses his own wealth, that I prefer that this matter be clarified to him. If he intends to keep the wealth, he may keep it, and if he intends to give it to the slave, then he should give it to him.
