Hadith 22708
٢٢٧٠٨ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا يحيى بن (يعلى) (١) عن عثمان بن الأسود عن مجاهد قال في مال اليتيم: إن اتجرت فيه فربحت فله، وإن ضاع ضمنت، وإن (وضعته) (٢)، فهلك فليس عليك.
Hazrat Mujahid, regarding the wealth of an orphan, states that if it is invested in trade and profit is earned, then that profit belongs to the orphan; and if there is a loss, then the guardian will be liable; but if it is destroyed while lying unused, then no liability will be incurred.
