Hadith 22693
٢٢٦٩٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن مبارك عن أبي حمزة السكري عن يزيد النحوي عن مجاهد عن أبي هريرة قال: دبرتْ امرأة من قريش غلامًا لها ثم أرادت أن (تكاتبه) (١)، فكتب الرسول إلى أبي هريرة فقال: " (كاتبه) (٢)، فإن أدى مكاتبته فذاك. وإن حدث (بك) (٣) حدث عتق"، قال: وأراه ما كان عليه (له) (٤) (٥).
Ibn Mubarak narrated to us, from Abu Hamzah al-Sukkari, from Yazid al-Nahwi, from Mujahid, from Abu Hurairah, who said: A woman from Quraysh had a slave boy whom she had set as a manager, then she wanted to make a contract of manumission with him. The Messenger wrote to Abu Hurairah, and said: Make a contract of manumission with him; if he fulfills his contract, then so be it, and if something happens to you, he is free. He said: And I think it was for what he owed to him. (Bayhaqi 314)
