Hadith 2266
٢٢٦٦ - حدثنا يعلى قال: نا (الأفريقي) (١) عن زياد بن نعيم الحضرمي عن زياد بن الحارث الصدائي قال: كنت مع النبي ﷺ في سفر فأمرني فأذنت فأراد بلال أن يقيم، فقال النبي ﷺ: "إنَّ (أَخَا) (٢) (صُداءٍ) (٣) أَذَّنَ، (وَمَنْ أَذَّنَ) (٤) فَهْوَ يُقيمُ"، فأقمت (٥).
Hazrat Ziyad bin Harith Sudai narrates that I was with the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on a journey. I gave the call to prayer (adhan). When Hazrat Bilal intended to say the iqamah, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "The brother from Suda' has given the adhan; the one who gives the adhan should also say the iqamah." Thus, I then said the iqamah.
