Hadith 22575
٢٢٥٧٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا علي ابن مسهر عن الشيباني عن حبيب بن أبي ثابت قال: كنت جالسًا مع ابن عباس في المسجد الحرام إذ أتاه رجل (فقال) (١): إنا نأخذ الأرض من الدهاقين، فأعتملها ببذري وبقري، فآخذ حقي وأعطيه حقه، فقال له: خذ رأس مالك، (ولا تردد) (٢) عليه (شيئًا) (٣)، فأعادها عليه ثلاث مرات، كل ذلك يقول له هذا (٤).
Hazrat Habib bin Abi Thabit narrates that I was sitting with Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) in Masjid Haram, when a person came to him and said, "We take land from landlords, and we work on it with our own seeds and oxen, and we take our share from them and give them their share." He (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him, "Take only the principal amount, do not take more than that." The man asked him three times, and each time he gave the same answer.
