Hadith 22550
٢٢٥٥٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن أبي زائدة عن حجاج عن أبي جعفر قال: عامل رسول اللَّه ﷺ أهل خيبر على الشطر، ثم أبو بكر (وعمر) (١) وعثمان وعلي، ثم أهلوهم إلى اليوم يعطون الثلث والربع (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Ja'far, may Allah have mercy on him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, gave the land of Khaybar to its people on a half-share basis for sharecropping. Then Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq, Hazrat Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, Hazrat Uthman, may Allah be pleased with him, and Hazrat Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, and then their families, have continued sharecropping on a third and a quarter share up to this day.
