Hadith 22303
٢٢٣٠٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا معتمر بن سليمان عن ليث عن طاوس قال: إذا كان أصل الحق دينا فلا تأخذ منه إلا ما بعته به، (فإذا) (١) كان قرضًا فلا يضرك أن تأخذ غير ما أقرضته.
Hazrat Tawus says that when the real right is religion (i.e., the period is fixed), then take back exactly what you gave; and if it is a loan (the period is not fixed), then there is no harm in taking something of a different kind in return for the loan given.
