٢٢٢٢١ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع قال: حدثنا المسعودي عن عمران بن عمير قال: منعني (جاري) (١) فضل (مائه) (٢)، فسألت عبيد اللَّه بن عبد اللَّه بن عتبة (٣) فقال: (سمعت) (٤) أبا هريرة يقول: لا يحل بيع فضل الماء (٥).
Hazrat Imran bin Umair, may Allah have mercy on him, says that one of my neighbors withheld surplus water. I asked Hazrat Ubaidullah bin Abdullah Utbah, may Allah have mercy on him, about this matter. He, may Allah have mercy on him, said that I heard Hazrat Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, say that the sale of surplus water is not permissible.
