Hadith 22218
٢٢٢١٨ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن مبارك عن ابن جريج فيما قرأ عليه عن عطاء قال: قلت له: بيع الماء في القرب؟ قال: لا بأس به (١)، وهو يستقيه، (وهو) (٢) يحمله، ليس كفضل الماء الذي يذهب في الأرض.
Hazrat Ibn Jurayj (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I asked Hazrat Ata (may Allah have mercy on him) whether it is permissible to sell water filled in a musk bag. He replied that there is no harm in it. He is taking it out from the river and bearing its burden. Therefore, it is not like the water that is flowing on the ground.
