Hadith 21897
٢١٨٩٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن أبي الهيثم قال: سمعت إبراهيم والشعبي يتذاكران ذلك فقال إبراهيم: لا تجوز، فقال الشعبي: لم؟ فقال إبراهيم: (لأنك) (١) لا تدري تاب أو لم يتب.
Hazrat Abu Haitham narrates that Ibrahim and Hazrat Sha’bi were discussing the testimony of one who accuses falsely. Ibrahim said that his testimony will not be accepted. Hazrat Sha’bi asked the reason for this, so Ibrahim replied that you do not know whether he has repented or not.
