Hadith 21723
٢١٧٢٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع نا الأعمش عن أبي الهيثم (العطار) (١) قال: استاجرت حمالا يحمل لي شيئا فكسره، فخاصمته إلى شريح فضمنه وقال: إنما استأجرك لتبلغه ولم يستأجرك لتكسره.
Hazrat Abu Haitham Attar says that I hired a laborer to carry my load; he broke my belongings. I took my case to the court of Hazrat Shurayh, and he held the laborer liable and said that you hired him to deliver your goods, not to break them.
