Hadith 2155
٢١٥٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا عبدة عن إسماعيل عن أبي المثنى: أن ابن عمر كان يأمر المؤذن (أن) (١) يشفع الأذان ويوتر الإقامة، ليعلم المار الأذان من الإقامة (٢).
Hazrat Ibn Musanna says that Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) used to instruct the muezzin to say the adhan twice and the iqamah once, so that those passing by could know the difference between the adhan and the iqamah.
