Hadith 2143
٢١٤٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا غندر عن شعبة عن عمرو بن مرة عن ابن أبي ليلى قال: حدثنا أصحابنا أن رجلًا من الأنصار جاء (إلى النبي ﷺ) (١) فقال: يا رسول اللَّه إني لما رجعت البارحة ورأيت من اهتمامك رأيت كأن رجلًا قائمًا على المسجد عليه ثوبان أخضران فأذن، ثم قعد قعدة، ثم قام فقال مثلها غير أنه قال: قد قامت الصلاة، ولولا أن تقولوا لقلت: إني كانت يقظانا غير نائم، فقال النبي ﷺ: "لَقَدْ أَرَاكَ اللَّهُ خَيْرًا"، فقال عمر: أما إني قد رأيت مثل الذي رأى غير أنى لما سبقت استحييت، فقال النبي ﷺ: "مُرُوا بلالًا فَلْيُؤَذِّن" (٢).
Once, an Ansari companion came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! Last night, when I saw your concern and returned from your presence, I saw in a dream that a man was standing in the mosque and he was wearing two green garments. He gave the call to prayer (adhan), then he sat down once, then he gave the iqamah in the same way, except that in the iqamah there was the addition of the words 'Qad qamatis salah.' It seemed to me as if I was in a state between sleep and wakefulness." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Allah has shown you good." Hazrat Umar said, "I also saw the same thing in a dream, but I felt shy to mention it." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Order Bilal to give the adhan."
