Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Abu Laila narrates that once a man came to the service of the Prophet ﷺ and asked him about snakes in the houses. The Prophet ﷺ said: If you see them in your houses, say to them: We remind you of the promise you made to Hazrat Nuh, and we remind you of the promise you made to Hazrat Sulaiman bin Dawood, that you should not harm us. Even then, if you see any of them, then kill it.
