Hadith 20954
٢٠٩٥٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا معتمر بن سليمان عن إسحاق بن سويد عن يحيى بن (يعمر) (١) قال: لا يأكل ما يطعن به في الحلق ثم يقطع (العروق) (٢) قال: (ذلك ليس) (٣) بذبح، ولكنه القتل.
Hazrat Yahya bin Ya'mar says that an animal does not become lawful (halal) by being speared until the spear is struck at its throat and its veins are cut. Because this is not slaughtering, but killing.
