Hadith 20883
٢٠٨٨٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا وكيع عن زكريا عن الشعبي عن عدي بن حاتم قال: سألت رسول اللَّه ﷺ (١) عن صيد المعراض فقال: "ما أصبت بحده فكل، وما أصبت بعرضه فهو (وقيذ) (٢) " (٣).
Hazrat Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I asked the Prophet ﷺ about hunting with a mi’raaz. He said: If the animal is struck with its point, then eat it; and if it is struck with its side, then it is carrion. (Mi’raaz refers to an arrow without feathers, which strikes the target with its side rather than its point.)
