Hadith 20858
٢٠٨٥٨ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا غندر عن شعبة عن عبد الملك بن ميسرة عن سعيد بن جبير عن عدي بن حاتم قال: سألت رسول اللَّه ﷺ عن الصيد أرميه فأطلب الأثر بعد ليلة قال: "إذا وجدت سهمك فيه ولم يأكل ⦗١٦٢⦘ منه سبع فكل" (١).
Hazrat Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about shooting an arrow at game and finding it the next day—what is the ruling? He replied: If your arrow is lodged in it and no predatory animal has eaten from it, then you may eat it.
