Hadith 20856
٢٠٨٥٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا عبيدة بن حميد عن حبيب بن أبي عمرة عن سعيد بن جبير قال: سأله رجل فقال: إني أرمي الصيد؛ فيغيب عني ثم أجده بعد ذلك، فقال له سعيد: إن وجدته وليس فيه إلا سهمك فكل، وإن لا فلا تأكل.
Hazrat Habib bin Abi Amrah narrates that a man asked Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair: If I shoot an arrow at game and it disappears from me, and then I find it later, what is the ruling? Hazrat Saeed (may Allah have mercy on him) replied: If there is only the mark of your arrow on it, then eat it, and if there is anything else besides that, then do not eat it.
