Hadith 20846
٢٠٨٤٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا جرير بن عبد الحميد عن موسى بن أبي عائشة عن أبي (رزين) (١) قال: جاء رجل إلى النبي ﷺ بأرنب فقال: إني رميت أرنبًا فأعجزني طلبها حتى أدركني الليل، فلم أقدر عليها حتى أصبحت، فوجدتها وفيها ⦗١٥٩⦘ سهمي فقال: "أصميت أو أنميت؟ " (٢) قال: لا بل أنميت قال: "إن الليل خلق من خلق اللَّه عظيم، لا يقدر (خلقه) (٣) إلا الذي خلقه، لعله (أعان) (٤) على قتلها شيء أنبذها (عنك) (٥) " (٦).
Hazrat Abu Razeen narrates that a man brought a rabbit to the Prophet ﷺ. He said, "I shot a rabbit with an arrow, but I could not find it until night fell. In the morning, I found the rabbit and my arrow was in it. What is the ruling regarding this?" The Prophet ﷺ said, "Did you kill it at that time, or did it die later due to some other cause?" He replied, "No, it died later." The Prophet ﷺ said, "The night is a great creation of Allah; no one knows its reality except its Creator. Perhaps something else killed the rabbit, so throw it away."
