Hadith 20751
٢٠٧٥١ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا أبو داود عن هشام عن قتادة عن سعيد بن المسيب قال: (سألته) (١) عن الكلب يُرسل على الصيد فقال: كل وإن أكل (ثلثيه) (٢)، فقلت: (عن من؟) (٣) قال: عن (سلمان) (٤) (٥).
Hazrat Qatadah, may Allah have mercy on him, says that I asked Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib, may Allah have mercy on him, what is the ruling if a dog is sent for hunting and it eats from the prey? He replied that even if it eats two-thirds of it, you may still eat from it. I asked, "On whose authority are you saying this?" He replied: On the authority of Hazrat Salman, may Allah be pleased with him.
