Hadith 20659
٢٠٦٥٩ - حدثنا حسين بن علي عن زائدة عن أبي الزناد عن الأعرج عن أبي هريرة عن النبي ﷺ قال: "من خرج في سبيل اللَّه ابتغاء وجه اللَّه و (تنجيزًا) (١) (لموعود) (٢) اللَّه، فهو مثل الصائم القائم، حتى يرجع إلى أهله أو من حيث خرج" (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever sets out in the way of Allah, seeking the pleasure of Allah and to attain Allah’s promise, he is like a fasting, night-worshipping person who remains engaged in fasting and worship until the Mujahid returns from his journey.
