Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Aamir (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that a woman whose husband had divorced her came to Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), and she believed that she had experienced three menstrual cycles within one month and had performed prayers after becoming pure from each cycle. Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) ordered Hazrat Shurayh (may Allah have mercy on him) to decide her case. He said that if trustworthy and religious people from among her relatives testify that she had three menstrual cycles in one month and that she performed prayers after becoming pure from each cycle, then she is truthful; and if they do not testify, then she is lying. Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) expressed his approval of this answer in a Roman manner.
