Hadith 20308
٢٠٣٠٨ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا (محمد) (١) بن فضيل عن أشعث عن الشعبي قال: إذا قذفها ثم ماتت قبل أن يلاعنها قال: إن شاء أكذب نفسه وورث، وإن شاء لاعن ولم يرث.
Hazrat Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) says that if a man accuses his wife of adultery and she dies before the process of li'an, then if he wishes, he may retract his accusation and become her heir, and if he wishes, he may proceed with li'an, in which case he will not be her heir.
