Hadith 20232
٢٠٢٣٢ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا شبابة عن ورقاء عن بن أبي نجيح عن مجاهد: ﴿وَلَا يَحِلُّ لَهُنَّ أَنْ يَكْتُمْنَ مَا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ فِي أَرْحَامِهِنَّ﴾، قال: لا يحل للمطلقة أن تقول: (أنا) (١) حائض، وليست بحائض، ولا تقول: إني حبلى و (ليست) (٢) بحبلى، ولا تقول: لست، بحبلى و (هي) (٣) حبلى.
Hazrat Mujahid, in the commentary of the verse { وَلاَ یَحِلُّ لَہُنَّ أَنْ یَکْتُمْنَ مَا خَلَقَ اللَّہُ فِی أَرْحَامِہِنَّ } of the Holy Quran, states that it means it is not permissible for a divorced woman to say that she is menstruating when she is not menstruating, nor is it permissible for her to say that she is pregnant when she is not pregnant, and when she is pregnant, it is not correct for her to say that she is not pregnant.
