Hadith 20195
٢٠١٩٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا جرير عن مغيرة عن إبراهيم قال: قال شريح: أتاني عروة (البارقي) (١) من عند عمر في الطلق ثلاثًا في مرضه: (ترثه) (٢) ما دامت ⦗٤٤٦⦘ في العدة، (و) (٣) لا يرثها، وعليها عدة المتوفى عنها زوجها (٤).
Hazrat Shurayh (may Allah have mercy on him) says that Hazrat Urwah Barqi brought a message to me from Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) stating that if a person gives his wife three divorces during his terminal illness, then the woman will inherit from him, while he will not inherit from the woman. And the woman will have to observe the waiting period (‘iddah) of a woman whose husband has passed away.
