Hadith 20142
٢٠١٤٢ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا مروان بن معاوية عن كامل بن فضيل قال: سألت الشعبي عن رجل تزوج امرأة فلم يدخل بها، ثم غاب عنها، فلما قدم أخذته بالنفقة فقال الشعبي: لا نفقة لها حتى يدخل بها.
Hazrat Kamil bin Fudail, may Allah have mercy on him, says that I asked Hazrat Sha'bi: If a person marries a woman and, without consummating the marriage, goes somewhere, then when he returns, will the woman receive maintenance from him? Hazrat Sha'bi replied: As long as he does not consummate the marriage, she will not receive maintenance.
