Hadith 20035
٢٠٠٣٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا أبو خالد الأحمر عن داود عن سعيد بن المسيب والشعبي قالا: إذا قامت البينة فالعدة من يوم يموت وإن لم تقم (فيوم) (١) يأتيها الخبر.
Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) and Hazrat Sha’bi (may Allah have mercy on him) say that if there is testimony, the waiting period (‘iddah) will begin from the day the husband passed away, and if there is no testimony, then from the day the news of his death is received.
