ما قالوا في الرجل تحته الأمة فيطلقها تطليقة ثم تعتق﴾If a Man Divorces His Slave Wife and Then Frees Her, What Is the Ruling on Her Waiting Period?
Hadith 19866
١٩٨٦٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا جرير عن مغيرة عن إبراهيم قال: إذا طلقت تطليقة ثم (أدركتها عتاقه) (١) قبل أن تنقضي عدتها؛ اعتدت عدة (الحرة) (٢)، وإذا طلقت تطليقتين ثم (أدركتها عتاقة) (٣) اعتدت عدة الأمة لما بانت منه، والمتوفى عنها (٤) كذلك.
Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) said that when a slave woman is given one divorce and then she is set free before the completion of her waiting period (‘iddah), she will observe the waiting period of a free woman. If she is given two divorces and then she is set free, she will observe the waiting period of a slave woman. The same ruling applies to a slave woman whose husband dies and then she is set free.
