Hadith 19834
١٩٨٣٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا حفص عن إسماعيل عن الشعبي قال: عدتها حيضة، فلم لا (تورثونها) (١) إذا جعلتموها ثلاث حيض.
Hazrat Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) says that in the case of the death of the master of an Umm Walad slave woman, her waiting period ('iddah) is one menstrual cycle. If you consider her waiting period to be three menstrual cycles, then why do you not make her an heir of the master?!
