١٩٦٧٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا شبابة قال نا شعبة قال: سألت الحكم عمن يولي من الأمة فقال: قال إبراهيم: عدتها شهران.
Hazrat Sha’bah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I asked Hazrat Hakam (may Allah have mercy on him) what is the ruling if a person makes ila’ (oath of abstinence) from his slave woman? He replied that Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) used to say that her waiting period (‘iddah) is two months. And I asked Hazrat Hammad (may Allah have mercy on him) about this matter, and he also said the same.
