Hadith 19648
١٩٦٤٨ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا جرير عن منصور عن إبراهيم عن أبي (الشعثاء) (١) قال: إلى رجل من الحي فنفست امرأته قال: (فسألت) (٢) علقمة والأسود ومسروقا فقالوا: إذا فاء بلسانه فقد فاء.
Hazrat Abu Sha’sa’ (may Allah have mercy on him) says that a man from the area made ila’ (oath of abstinence) from his wife, then that woman became affected by nifas (postnatal bleeding), so I asked Hazrat Alqama, Hazrat Aswad, and Hazrat Masruq (may Allah be pleased with them) about this. They said that when he verbally declared the breaking of the oath, then the oath was broken.
