Hadith 1942
١٩٤٢ - حدثنا وكيع عن جرير (بن) (١) أيوب عن أبي زرعة بن عمرو بن جرير قال: رأيت جريرا مسح على خفيه، قال: وقال أبو زرعة: قال أبو هريرة: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "إذا أدخل أحدكم رجليه في خفيه وهما طاهرتان؛ فليمسح عليهما ⦗٣٩٥⦘ (ثلاثًا) (٢) للمسافر، ويومًا للمقيم" (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: When any one of you puts on socks in a state of purity of the feet, then a traveler may wipe over them for three days and a resident for one day.
