Hadith 19223
١٩٢٢٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا هشيم عن مغيرة عن إبراهيم في الرجل يطلق امرأته ثلاثًا ثم يجحدها قال: أحب إلي أن ترافعه إلى السلطان، فإن حلف فأحب إلي أن (تفتدى) (١) منه إذا حلف.
Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked: If a man gives his wife three divorces and then denies it, what is the ruling? He replied: This case should be taken to the Sultan, and the man should be made to swear an oath. If he swears, then in my opinion it is better that the woman gives him compensation and obtains khul‘ (divorce through compensation).
